2018 Vintage-
This wine is pale pink, showing intense creamy fruit alongside a silky texture. It reveals a fine oak and battonage structure, backed by the long fine acidity typical of the schist and limestone hills of the region of Cabrieres, It’s powerful enough to match rich gastronomic flavours but this is a rosé to also lay down in the cellar and watch it develop complex flavours with age.
This is a lovely, complex, layered and inviting rosé. It opens with a light woody top note that suggests cedar-grilled apple, clove-spiked orange, tangerine peel and peach pit. The palate is silky and seductive, with an initial weight and lushness that's balanced by bright orange-flavored acidity and a lovely texture of delicate tannins and citrus pith through the close. Hints of white florals, like clover and Spanish broom, and garrigue also unfold on the finish.
A toasty, firm rosé, with a lightly hued color and notes of white raspberry, melon and baking spice that evolve into mineral, white tea and honey cream flavors on the long finish. A food-friendly rosé. Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Viognier and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2020.
