2014 Vintage- This is tight, lithe and elegant: a composed and dignified Merlot with only the faintest initial glimpse of anything resembling mellow. It smells comforting at first, but as the drinker delves, the bouquet unveils mossy, damp forest earth, and then fresher, leafy greens emerge with their tannins.
This rich, silky red offers violet-scented blackberry and framboise notes, with vanilla bean accents and a whiff of espresso. The generous flavors and plump texture linger on the long finish. Drink now through 2027.
