This Brandy de Jerez comes from a solera consisting of a very limited number of casks, established by the Valdespino family in 1842 and intended for the sole consumption of relatives and close friends of the company. Ever since, it has continued to age in our dimly lit cellar in Jerez and had never before been marketed until 2016 when it was presented as part of the Valdespino Rare Spirit Collection. This is a Solera Gran Reserva Brandy de Jerez with an average age of over 30 years, aged in Jerez casks which previously contained Finos and Amontillados from Valdespino’s most reputable soleras.
This Brandy de Jerez Solera Gran Reserva originally comes from the oldest soleras founded in 1842 at Valdespino Bodega. Obtained by the distillation of the finest “holandas” and aged under the solera and criadera system for over 25 years, in centenary casks previously used for the aging of Fino and a very old Amontillado Sherry.
