Bodegas Javier San Pedro Ortega is run by the fifth generation of the San Pedro family, by the winemaker Javier San Pedro Ortega. The family owns more than 100 hectares of vineyards in the municipality of Laguardia. The Viuda Negra range seeks to be fresh and jovial, and is inspired by the spider of the same name. Viuda Negra Nunca Jamás wine is produced in 225 litre French oak barrels for 14 days at low temperatures. It is punched down 4 to 5 times a day in order to extract the colour and structure of the skins. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in French oak barrels.
