2021 Vintage- In 2018, Andrew's friend Chad Johnson from Dusted Valley offered him a small amount of Cab from Southwind Vineyard. Rising 1,500' above the Walla Walla Valley floor, Southwind is an exceptional site with sweeping views of the Blue Mountains. The site's high elevation and weak soils make for a late ripening vineyard that concentrates flavors in the fruit. All of this piqued Andrew's interest. He was prepared for the wine to be good. Instead, it blew him away.
The 2020 Baby Yaga is the third release of this classic Walla Walla Cab. Those who remember Januik Seven Hills Vineyard Cab will taste similarities. Fans of the John Wick series will describe the wine as "killer."
