Chateau de Trevelin Altesse Grand Cru

2021 Vintage- Altesse, as its name suggests, is at home in high elevation vineyards, thriving here in Switzerland and across the border in the mountainous Savoie region of France. This excellent oak aged, full-bodied example is beautifully balanced between fresh acidity, alpine grasses, white flowers, pleasing mineral notes, fruit (quince, mango, pineapple, lychee and citrus) and a spicy suggestion of white pepper. Give it a little age and its subtle nuttiness will grow along with a honeyed aromatic richness. Pair with fish, poultry and pork.
