This artisan metheglin-style Danish mead has hibiscus & hops. We have combined our traditional mead with dried hibiscus and ginger to make Viking Blod, thus giving it a distinctive color as well as a spicy, aromatic and floral taste. Viking Blod is a little like a good madeira.

Hibiscus gives Viking Blod, meaning blood, its characteristic reddish color, evocative of the blood Vikings spilled in their fierce battles, hence the name.
However, this mead is completely harmless, with a sweet, floral taste.
