Domaine Piron Chenas Quartz

2018 Vintage- This little Chenas Cru is actually Beaujolai's smallest, which of course it also finds extremely rare. Piron and Lameloise occupy 22.2 hectar vineyards on the steep eastern side, at an altitude from 310 to 380 meters above sea level. The granite-containing soil is covered with deposits scar quartz crystals. Hence the name Chenas Quartz. The wine exudes minerality, with notes of flowers, crisis berries and light peach. In the mouth, the soft but full-bodied tannin texture gives a nice long taste that ends up fresh and almost a little salty.
