2008 Vintage- A harmonious wine, the ’08 Pinot Nero Case Via layers its sweet fruits and spices with its savory tobacco, earth, and herbs to reveal a seamless whole--it’s tremendous. Caressing yet vibrant, this Pinot Nero unspools on the palate, revealing myriad layers of flavors and textures, and, accented by a sweet inner perfume, it builds to a finish filled with polished tannins and inflected by minerals. Deriving from a shady and cool 2.5-acre southwest-facing vineyard in the heart of Chianti’s Conca d’Oro, the grapes for this Pinot Nero vinify with indigenous yeasts in traditional wooden vats, and the wine ages in barrels for two years before release.
