Nelson Sauvin, Southern Cross
On a snowy Super Bowl Sunday in February 2013, we enjoyed our very first bomber of a beer called Nelson by Alpine Beer Company. Aromatically and flavourfully, it’s a beer that changed our lives. Exotic, pungent and tropical, many consider this to be the potion that first introduced people to the Nelson Sauvin hop from New Zealand.
Cool Bay is our ode to this experience. With white wine, gooseberry and dark purple aromatics, it gently sails into harbor on a delicately soft and sweet malt base, plush yet breezy, with light winds of lemons and limes. An extremely satisfying experience and one that’ll keep your nose in the glass guessing what’s what
