This Weihnachts Wein (Christmas Wine) is a beautiful sweet Riesling Spätlese from the Rheinhessen. Explosive citrus aromas jump from the glass and follow on the palate. This is an easy drinking, fresh white wine perfect for celebrating the season. In the area of Nierstein, iron-rich red soils predominate. There is good drainage, driving the vines' roots to dig deep for moisture. Close to the Rhine river, there is a moderating climate influence. For the spatlese, grapes are late-harvested according to pradikatswein rules.
