Winkler-Hermaden Vulkanland Steiermark Pinot Blanc

2023 Vintage- The Winkler-Hermaden Winery of southeastern Austria sits between the Slovenian and Hungarian borders. The estate stretches 38-hectares, growing 21 different grapes, Austrian and international alike. Since the 1980s, Georg Winkler-Hermaden has been transforming the estate into an organic, sustainable, regenerative-farming wonderland. The family is famous for aging their wines for long periods in small oak barrels made from wood sourced from their own forest! This Pinot Blanc is a classic representation of the genre and one of Winkler-Hermaden's benchmark wines. It's dry and soft, with notes of yellow apple and citrus with a crisp saltiness on the finish.
