Herrington Vodka is named in honor of James Clayton Herrington, founder of the city of Geneva, Illinois where Fox River Distilling makes its home. The vodka appears to made from a base of grain, grown in the local area.
Fox River Distilling Company was founded in 2014 in the city of Geneva, Illinois but is named for a previous Fox River Distilling Company that operated throughout Northern Illinois in the 19th century, folding to the coming wave of the evil, tyrannical times of Prohibition. The modern version is founded a principal of local products (where available) and the craft of distillation.
