Saison Brewed with Aged Hops, Raw Spelt & Brettanomyces
Spandrel is the same base wort we use for our barrel fermented mixed culture beers except it is fermented in stainless steel with a single strain of saison yeast then bottle conditioned with brettanomyces. It is brewed with pilsner malt from Sugar Creek, raw spelt from Janie's Mill, and aged whole cone hops. It has notes of over ripe peaches, fresh cut grass, honey dew, orchids, freshly mixed bread dough, guava, and a nice touch of funkiness.
