Originally released as Stone 11th Anniversary Ale in 2007, the creation we now know as Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA grew into one of the most notoriously bold chapters in Stone history. So much so that over the years it became our number one, most requested “bring it back” release of all time. We’re thrilled to share this limited return with those who clamored for it to come back, and even more excited for those tasting this deep, rich, hoppy magic for the first time.
Chinook, Simcoe, Amarillo
Dark and milk chocolate, orange, raspberry, pine resin, tropical fruit, with hints of coffee. Medium body with solid bitterness and a nice drying character on the finish. Black with reddish hue, light tan head and lively foam with good lacing. Coffee, black currant, chocolate, piney, citrus, tropical fruit.
