Zarate Albarino Rias Baixas

2025 Vintage, The Zárate winery is a historic winery in the Rias Baixas, producing Albariños since the early eighteenth.   It is a single variety of Albariño, from 35 year-old vines planted in granite soils. Bodega Zárate practices farming friendly techniques without using any herbicides.   Harvesting is done manually and grape selection is performed on the plot itself. The grapes are destemmed and a light pressing of the must is undergone. After a gentle racking, the grapes are fermented spontaneously in a steel tank where it remains with its residue for 3 months. An elegant and fresh Albariño. Zárate Albariño 2025 is an elegant and vibrant white wine, where the sea breeze seems to waft into the glass with hints of lime and oyster shells. On the palate, it unfolds fresh and lively, balanced and harmonious, leaving a persistent saline touch reminiscent of its granitic soil origins. Its texture and medium-full body make it alluring and straightforward, with a finish that feels clean, precise, and slightly mineral. A brilliant albariño.
